New Zealand is our source. Nature is our nutritionist.

We all know that the best nutrition we can give babies is breast milk, but sometimes this just isn’t humanly possible. That is why we aim to ensure our infant formulations match mother’s milk as closely as possible in nutrient content and profile.

To develop our unique formulation, we have worked closely with Professor Owen Young of AUT New Zealand (B.Sc. (Hon) PHD), a highly respected leader in food science, together with specialist scientific food technologists in our dairy factory.

The result? A balanced blend of premium natural nutrients, scientifically formulated to support baby’s growth, immunity, digestion and development.

Our ingredients: the best of science and nature.

Tricare™ Gold Infant Formula contains a unique blend of high quality ingredients including Whey Protein, OPO, Omega Fatty Acids including DHA and ARA, Lactoferrin, GOS and FOS, wet blended with premium New Zealand milk powder to ensure a truly homogenous product.

Some of the key benefits of our ingredients include:

Whey Protein

The type of protein found in both breast milk and in cows milk which is easily digestible making it suitable for younger babies.

OPO

Plays a key role in making fats more similar to those occurring naturally in mother’s milk and may help with calcium absorption to promote healthy bones.

DHA

A naturally occuring Omega Fatty Acid considered to help support eyesight and brain development.

ARA

A naturally occuring Omega Fatty Acid may be good for growth and development.

Lactoferrin

Human milk contains high levels of naturally occurring Lactoferrin and it plays an important role in immune function and keeping the baby healthy.

FOS and GOS

Natural prebiotics that help to promote a healthy intestinal environment and support the development of a strong immune system.

L-Carnitine

Required for the transport of fatty acids in living cells for the generation of metabolic energy.

Nucleotides

Nucleotides are the building blocks of the DNA which are present in high levels in human milk and appear to play a role in immune function, intestinal development and head growth.

Breast milk is best for babies.

Professional advice should be followed before using infant formula as introducing partial bottle-feeding could negatively affect breastfeeding. Good maternal nutrition is important for breastfeeding and reversing a decision not to breastfeed may be difficult. Infant formula should be used as directed. Proper use of an infant formula is important to the health of the infant. Social and financial implications should be considered when selecting a method of feeding.
